The Amerioan Senate has passed the Behring Sea Fisheries Bill. A bomb exploded in the Cafe Foyot, opposite the Senate building. Several people were injured. News has been received that a French force was surprised and defeated,by natives at Usapa in the Soudan, many on both sides being killed. Twenty thousand strikers at coke works in Pennsylvania armed themselves with guns and clubs, and drove non-unionists from the vicinity •oi the works. The Pennsylvania strikers are parading the streets in a threatening manner, and the whole district is in a state of terrorism.
Two non-unionists have been killed by the strikers.
