Our Almanac.
With this issue we preSerifc a pldytion of our year's almanac. We' purpose afc the end of every month inserting, as an inset, the dates and matters of coming interest during the coming month. We admit that it is a new way of providing our readers with an almanac* but we think it? will be fourid mere useful .made in thia manner, tfhe pace the wdrld prdgresses makes it impossible to foresee very far in advance, and, by a monthly instalment, the most interesting matters can be brought directly under notice. At any rate we trust our subscribers will accept the intention if they dp not approve altogether of the deed. W e htld } ti ', tended commencing the issUe with the new year, but circumstances, the delay in the arrival of necessary material, disappointed us. At present the forthcoming stock sales are noted; the meeting of public bodies ; the sittings of the R.M. Court ; and other information will* as seen needed* be added. We launch our little novelty with the earnest hope it may be appreciated.
