Bulls, 28th January. Gorton and Son report: — We held two stock sales this week at Mar ton and Feilding Good entries came forward at Marton and exceptionally large at Feilding, too much so as we had to accept the courtesy of the Alliance to enable us to yard all the stock. Cattle sold well at Marton we had more entries and every beast was sold. Sheep were dull but we ra-maged to quit a few pen Si At Feilding the. bidding for cattle was very brisk and we sold nearly all che lines under the hammer. Sheep were also dull of sale there, but several pens were disposed of. We quote : — Marton. Cattle -Fat and for ward bullocks, small, £5 17s 6d ; fat cows, £5 ; 2 yr heifers, £8 10s ; 2-yr steers, £8 7s 6d : cows. £8 12s 8d to £4 Is 6d ; 12 to 18-months steers, £2 6s 6d to £2 11s. Fielding. Fat cows, £5 to £5 1 ; forward cows, £4 5s to £4 17s 6d ; breeding: cows, £4 2s ; cow 3 and calves, £5 6s 6d to £5 8s ; 12 and 18* month mixed, £2 5s to £2 11s ; 2^ year steers, £4 19s ;
