Primitive Methodist Conference.
At the afternoon session, the conference resolved to recommend the stations to raise not less than £2000 by the Jubilee celebration not includ* ing the Jubilee Loan Fund ; that a prize be offered for a Jubilee hymn ; that 5000 medals be struck for Sunday scholars; that the history of fifty years of Primitive Methodism in New Zealand be published ; that thanksgiving and other services 1 be held on Jubilee Sunday. It was resolved that the Primitive Methodist be published monthly. A discussion on the work done in the church occupied the remainder of the sitting. The necessity for greater interest in week night services and class meet' ings was insisted upon by most of the speakers. At a public tea and meeting held in the evening, there was a large attendance, though the weather was extremely unfavourable.
