Resident Magistrate's Court, Foxton.
(Before H. W. Brabant Esq, R.M). Thursday, 18th Oct. Civil. T. Ennis v. George Banks,— Claim £4 4s. No appearance of defendant. The claim was for two pairs of trousers supplied to two natives to whom the goods had been delivered on George Banks' order. Judgment for amount with costs 18s. , S. Startup v. E. Sigglekow,--Claim 15s 6d for a pair of boots. No appearance of defendant. I Judgment for amount with costs 18s. S. Startup v. H. Arnold,— Claim £1 4s 3d. No appearance of defendant. Judgment for amount and costs 6s. John Burr v. W. Howe,— Claim £8 for detention of canoe, Mr Ray said there were subjects in dispute between the son and the father whioh had been made a subject for reference, and it was possible all matters might then be settled. He would therefore ask for the case to be adjourned till after this was settled, say two months. Tne defendant not objecting the case was adjourned to Bfch of Deoember.
