In committee on the Government Loans to Local Bodies Act Amendment Bill clause 3 was amended by fixing £8000 aa the maximum amount to be lent to the trustees of a drainage district. The Water Supply Act Amendment Bill was passed through com* mittee with one or two slight verbal Amendments. In committeee on the Factories Act Amendment Bill, the amendments made by the Labour Bills Committee were agreed to. The four bills above mentioned were then read a third time and passed. The second reading of the Westland, Grey, Inanghua, and Buller, Counties Vehicle Licensing Bill, was agreed to on the .voices.
