» ...... ■ FOXTON v POROTAWHAO. This match was played in Mr Stansell's paddock on Saturday. The weather was dull and a little rain fell in the morning, but at midday it cleared up. There was a fair attendance of spectators. The Foxton umpire was Mr H. Blake, senior, and Mr E. Tolly acted in the same capacity for the Porotawhao team. Markers — Messrs H. Bradcock and Burke. Foxton won the toss aiid sent their men to the wickets. Mr H. Blake was captain of the Foxton eleven and Mr J. Jacomb of the Pofotawhao eleven.
