(Contributed.) PoROTAWHAO. The captain of this club has had a lot of trouble with the Natives getting them together, and he has brought them out very well consider ing the short time he has had them under his care. They will make a better stand against our local team next game, Captain Jacomb, Cole, Hargreaves and Tuhera were the best of the eleven and did good service for the club in this match. FOXTON. H. Blake is not a good bat but is a useful Captain. W. Foster is about the best bat in the club. The wicket needs to be perfect if he is to be seen at his best. He is a useful man in the field where he takes the ball well. W. Ingram is the oldest member of the club, his bowling is first class. Owing to not feeling well he has not been seen at his best this season. J Kruse is by far the best all round man. His bowling and fielding is, as a rule, first class, and he bats freely. R. Silcock is in capital form with the ball. He proved very troublesome to his opponents. Shearman is the v wicket keeper of the team, and has been seen to great advantage in that position this season. He is a com sistent bat and has made several useful innings this season. Unsworth bats well forwards and pro* mises to be a likely man to make a big score. Betty is a stylish bat and when once set, plays a useful innings W Neal has gone back in batting for want of prectice, He is a useful man in the field. A. Kruse made a good innings on Saturday.
