The Shanghai correspondent of The Times telegraphs that the Consuls at Pelrin have applied for naval protection, tbe populaqe being hostile. Sir T. Wolsham, British Minister afc Pekin, telegraphs that no Europeans were killed in the Mongolian revolt. The Government troops have retaken Chaoyang, and the rebels have fled to the mountains. The battle at Kinchow on 3Qth November ended in a decisive victory for the Chinese. No quarter was giveu and the wounded were beheaded. There was great carnage, and the fugitives took to the mountains. The total number of Christians massacred was 500. The British residents are safe, Lobenguella, King of Matabeleland has ceded the rights of settlement througout his dominion to the British South Africa Company.
