New Zealand hemp is in good demand ; 200 bales of fair quality sold at £19 10s per ton. The wool market is firm and unchanged. The American visible supply of wheat is 62,900,000 bushels. The legal advisers of the Duke of Orleans allege that Mr Armstrong can only proceed in the Dublin Courts for crim. con. In the Russell divorce case Sir Charles Russell, in addressing the Court on behalt of the respondent, declared that the Countess was a spoilt child. Sir Edward Clarke, SolicitorGeneral in replying, absolved Earl Russell from the charges brought against him, but said the crossexamination by Sir Charles Russell had wrung a coniession from the Countess. Sir Charles Butfc.. president of the Probate, Divorce, and Admiralty Division, in summing up, said the main charges wero not corroborated, and some of them appeared to be false and malignant. The verdict was for respondent, and the result was received with cheers.
