Oroua Bridge School.
♦— The children attending the abovenamed school spent a very pleasant and happy day in company with their teacher, Mr O'Brien, and their parents at a picnic held in the school ground, on Monday, 26th May. The following ladies and gentlemen kindly supplied refreshments and prizes for the occasion. Mesdames W, K. Simpson (whose kindness and hospitality are well and widely known), O'Drien, Richard, Dunk, Head, Yanko ; Messrs Mills, Meldon ; Misses Trask, Dunk, and Kennedy, also Mr Simpson and Di Chalmers kindly attended to the wants of the children. Aftei partaking of the good things provided them and indulging in the various games common at such meeting, and after singing the National Anthem, and giving three hearty cheers for the ladies and gentlemen who provided them with the refreshments, and three cheers for their teacher, they dispersed to their respective homes, well pleased with their day's amusement. — Ulanawatu Times.
