We publish the unofficial returns of the population census of the following towns in this neighbourhood : — Palmerston 4812 Feilding 1584 POXTON 1224 Marton 966 Bulls 649 Halcombe 414 Turalrina 237 The particulars about Foxton are as follows : — The 1224 inhabitants are composed ofGB9 males and 535 females, including four half-castes and two Chinese. There are 200 inhabited dwellings, 5 uninhabited, and one in course of erection. In the Awahou Eiding there are 395 people, 281 being males and 114 females, which number include 12 half-castes and 1 Maori. There are 66 inhabited dwellings and 1 uninhabited.
