At Thurles, in Tipperary, yesterday a party of ParneUities attacked a procession composed of anti-Parnell-ites, while on its way to Archbishop Croke. and a sharp fight ensued. Both sides made use of sticks and stones, and many of the participants were injured, especially about the head. Mr Parnell declares that he himself has always been opposed to the plan of campaign, and states that in 1887 Mr Gladstone asked the Parnellite Party to suppress the plan, as it was ruining the Liberal cause. The remains of the late Count Von Moltke will be buried in the family vault at Creisan. There will be great military obsequies at Berlin. The remains of Von Moltke are lying in state, and will be buried on Tuesday. The Emperor visited the mortuary chamber, and publicly stated Von Moltke 1 s loss was greater than the loss of an army. He has summoned all Princes and Kings of Germany to attend the funeral. Lord Salisbury has issued an ultimatum to Portugal, stating that unless she immediately gives facilities to British traders for free trade through Mashonaland, in accordance with treaties in force, England will resort to forcible measures. H. H. Champion, the labour leader, in the course of an interview with a representative of the Pall Mall Gazette said that the men who had gone out on strike in Australia recently had blindly followed their unscrupulous leaders. Several trades afterwards admitted this, and expressed regret that they had not followed the advice he had tendered them during his visit to Australia.
