Poxton Racing Club.

. » : — A meeting of the Stewards of the Foxton Eacing Club was held on Saurday at Mr Baker's office at 8 p.m. Present: — Messrs H. Davidson (in the chair) ; F. G. Andrews, Hon. Secretary ; W. G. Eobinson ; J. R. Eussell ; T. P. WilVams and T. Purcell. The minutes of the previous meeting were read and confirmed. It was resolved, that the Becre - tary forward to the different mill, owners a circular, asking them to grant a whole holiday on the 22nd January, as a half holiday would not give the men sufficent time to get to the races The Chairman aßked the Stewards what they intended doing in the future in reference to the wilful aad unfair practice of certain riders, who had been for the last week or two, training their horses on the " course proper/ After a lengthy discussion it was decided to leave the matter in theSecretar/s hands.
