It is with much pleasure that we inform our readers that Mr Wilson has been pushing the Government for a reliable report on the bar of the river. Mr Wilson feeling dissatisfied with the result of Mr J. T. Stewart's visit, wrote to the Premier and requested him to allow Mr O'Connor to see the Wanganui works, and then to examine and report upon the possibility of utilizing that class of work on the Manawatu bar. The Premier has promised to send Mr O'Connor or Mr Blair* We begin to have our faith re-estab-lished. Mr Wilson is also urging th • Department to appoint an assistant to the pilot.
