HOSPITAL BOARD.
The ordinary meeting of the Hospital Board took place last week, Present — Messrs ArkwriglnY (in thelft .chair), Sanson, Nathan,-. Higgie," Eemington, and Edwards. The principal business was the striking of the annual rate, which, it was decided, after discussion,- should be one shilling and sixpence in the thousand pounds. Foxton having seceded from the Manawatu County Council, there was some difference of , opinion as to whether it should not be included in the district, but there being no power to do thia until the Governor-in-Council had made an order, it was decided not to inolude Foxton. If any patients are received from that borough, they will be charged for their maintenance. The following are the allocations on the different bodies : — &* d
