Foxton Racing Club.
A General meeting of the above Club was held at Whyte's Hotel last night at 8.30 p.m. Present — Messrs Thynne, Russell, Bailey, J. H. Robinson, J. Purcell, W, Robinson, T. Purcell, J. McMillan &F. Andrews. Mr Thynne (Vice President) was voted to the chair. The Hon. Sec. (Mr Russell) read the minutes of the {last general meeting which were Confirmed. The position of the Olub was shown to. be with a credit it the Bank of £95. Mr Russell then handed in his . etter of resignation. It was proposed by Mr T. Purcell md seconded by Mr J.R. McMillan/ C.«< That Mr Russell be presented [with a twenty guinea gold stop Watch, suitably engraved, as a gift bf the Foxton Racing Club for his past good services to the club. Carried. I The following resolutions were also Agreed to.— That Mr F. Andrews be Secretary, Mr Bailey be Treasurer, abd Mr Walter Robinson be a Steward. I That a Winter meeting be held on a suitable date, the committee to f i ame programme and arrange for same. That all cheques in future besiigned b 1 - the Secretary and Treasure.:. That the committee make the n< cessury arrangements to have tlie co arse fenced in.
