SANDON RAILWA Y COMPANY.
» The annual meeting of the above Company was to have been held at the Sanson schoolhouse on Friday last, at 7.80 p.m., but at that hour only ten shareholders were present, the legal number, as required by law, being 29. There being no quorum, the meating was formally adjourned by Mr Sanson, Chairman of the Company, until 7.30 p.m., on Saturday. At that hour only a few " turned up," and therefore the meeting lapsed. Mr Sanson has consequently called a fresh meeting for the 25th instant. The weather on Friday evening was extremely inclement, and as the bulk of the shareholders live a considerable distance from the township, it was perfectly natural that they preferred the comfort of their own firesides to the doubtful excitement of au annual meeting. However, on the 25th there will be the advantage of a bright moonlight night, aad as the meeting will have to consider most important business it is extremely desirable there should be a full muster.
