In attendance were Noeline Cootes, as chief bridesmaid, and Wainui and Teresa Mason, each wearing an angle-length frock of light green georgette, and carrying a bunch of red carnations. The groom was attended by Mr Peter Walker as best man, and Messrs L. and E. Mason as groomsmen. A reception was held later at the Victoria Hall where Mrs Walker received the guests. She was wearing green linen, with brown accessories, and she was assisted by Mrs Smith, wearing a black outfit.
