Beneficial rains which have fallen in most of .the ihlarid districts of New South Wales will greatly benefit farmers, whose ploughing operations have been held up, and will also replenish the water supplies. In some of the whea.t-growing districts farmers have been waiting for weeks for rain to enable them to re-sow crops which have been eaten by grasshoppers. "*7' i i" ~
