(Received Sept. 29, 5.5 p.m.) LONDON, Sept. 28. The Evening Standard announoes that Mrs Jarrot, who is comparatively rich, renounced her claim to a legac-y from the Duke of Orleans on learning that the estate was smallei* than anticipated. She made the decision out of consideration for the other legatees, stipulating only that the deceased's collection of big game trophies shall be maintained. Queen Amelie, of P'ortugal, the residuary legatec, expressed deep appreciation of Mrs Jarrot's generosity.
