[FROM OPR CORRESPONDENT^} Thursday INDUCTION SERVICE.
The induction of the new vicar of Pioton, the Rev.' N. Friberg, from Kaikoura, took place ot-Hofy Trinity Chiireh. last night. The^eremony was conducted by his Lordship the Bishop of Nelson. ' : After the induction service the company was invited to adjourn to • the schoolroom to a social gathering, when addresses of welcome were tendered to the Rev. Mr Friberg. The handing round of supper brought the gathering to a close. Through the clashing with the poultry sh/vw, whicih was continued at the Albert Hall, the gathering was not quite what would otherwise have been the case; still both functions were well attended. WEDDING. A pretty wedding took place in bright, sunshine yesterday, 'the; contracting parties being Miss Louie Tobbell and Mr Percy Young. The ceremony was conducted by :; the Rev. T. R. B. Woolloxall,^ after which a large number of friends were entertained to afternoon tea at the Kiosk. The happy-, couple.left for Wellington in the evening by the Arahura, . ,
