Rain has fallen over the greater part of the State. It is fairly heavy in the coastal districts and Riverina. Melbourne, March 28. Heavy rain fell all yesterday, ac eompanied by a gale.
Some of the low-lying suburbs are flooded and considerable damage to property has occurred.
Some small sailing crafts are reported ashore. Tho whole of the State is participating in the rain.
