Sydney, March 28.
Mr Sam Smith, in an interview, said that he was much impressed with the prosperity and bright prospects of Now Zealand. Industrially things were very bright, and the condition of the working classes was an admirable matter. The organisation of the Unions by labor leaders was very backward. Although they were enjoying the full advantages of the awards of the Courts, many workers were indifferent in the matter of joining the Union. This was accentuated by the lack of zeal and activity of the leaders.
