Salvation Army.—Special Easter services, conducted by Adjutant and Mrs Rowley, will be held at the Salvation Army Barracks to-morrow. Mills, Chairman of the Renwick School Committee, presented the M.H.R. medals for 1901 to Miss Paul and Master George Gee, the winners of them, and both pupils of the Renwick School. Death. —News reached us just as we were going to press of the death of Mr R. Dixon, of Walter Street, who expired somewhat suddenly at his residence. Ho had been ailing for some time, and but recently returned from a visit to Rotorua. His widow and family will have the sympathy of a large number of friends in their bereavement. Gifkord's SALE.—The attention of our readers is directed to the extensive clearing sale advertised in another column, to be held by Messrs Horton and Co. on Thursday next, at Mr Gifford's farm, Springfield. The sale is by instructions from the executors to the will of the late Mr Isaac Gifford, and will embrace everything movable on the farm, without reserve.
