» [UNITED PBBBS ASSOCIATION.] Palmebston North, January 8. The visiting players at the Lawn Tennis Gbampionohip Meeting were entertained ac a dance last evening, when the prizes were presented by Mrs Simpson, wife of R. M. Simpson, Wellington, President of the Association. Mr H. M. Gore, on behalf of the visitors, proposed a hearty vote of thanks to the local Olub for the successful manner m whioh the tournament was carried out. The Interprovinoial banner pre* sented by Mr H. M. Gore was won by Canterbury 16 points, Auokland 2nd, 6 points.
