REVISION OE THE JURY LIST.

Tiie adjourned meeting of the Court for the Revision of the Jury List was lickl on Saturday. Ih the matter of the application by Air AlcXab, on behalf of certain residents near Havelock, whose names appeared on the list, but who, as he contended, were not liable, as they resided at a “distance” of more than 20 miles from the Court-house, Air Aleletire gave judgment. The question at issue was whether the distance was to be measured liy road or as the crow flies. The The R.AI. .said the section of the Act under which the point arose was very oracular, and so were the opinions which he had obtain ed from other parts of the country. In point of fact the question did not appear to have been raised. It was one that bethought was not so likely to arise in England as in this country. Air McNab had made a very good case for his clients, and had argued it with much force and ability. He (the R.M.) thought it would be the best course for him to pursue to stiko off' the names of these gentlemen for this year, but as lie felt not quite certain that he was right in thus with drawing their valuable services to the country, lie might add that he would bring the matter under the notice of tho circuit Judge at the next sittting of the Supreme Court in Blenheim, and therefore AJr McNab’s clients must not be surprised at a future time if their names were replaced on the Roll.
