WALTON.

At the last meeting of tho Thames Valley Sub-provincial executive of the Farmers’ union, intimation was received from the Walton branch that it had decided secede from the Sub-provincial executive. With the view of giving the Walton branch an opportunity of reconsidering their decision, Mossrs J. B. Thomas (president), L. IT. McAlpino (organiser), P. S. Philpotr. and P. Rushton, of the Sub-provincial executive visited Walton last woek, and discussed the position with them. The visitors impressed upon tho Walton members the value of co-operation and closo cohesion in a Dominionwide organisation, and strongly urged them to renew their relationship with the executive. The branch decided to consider tho matter at their next meeting and to advise the Sub-provincial executive of their decision.
