STOCK SALES.

MATAMATA. At the Farmers' Auctioneering Coy's Btilo at Matamata on Wednesday, the yarding was not as good as usual, and owing to the inclement weather the attendance was small. Bidding for dairy stock was not brisk. Prices were: Sheep, 44 hoggets sold at 18s; cattle, yearling steers £4 10s to £5, others £3 6s to £3 12s, heifer calves £2 to £3 14s, fat steers £l7 (sold by N. Brown), others £l3 10s to £l6, fat cows £lO 12s Gd to £ll 6s, store cows £5 2s 6d to £7 ss, 2J to 3-yr steers £lO ss. 18-month to 20-months steers £4 15s to £6 10s, dairy cows £ll to £l3, dairy heifers, about 140 were ottered but only a few were sold, realising £l3 10s.
