LICHFIELD

Mr T. Parker, who has been a resident of Lichfield for 28 years, was farewelled at an afternoon party held at the Lichfield school in his honor on Friday afternoon last, prior to his departure from the district. Mr W. G. Alexander, in presenting Mr Parker with a purse of sovereigns, expressed the sincere regret of the residents at Mr Parker's departure. In his capacity as stock and rabbit inspector, Mr Parker had displayed wonderful tact, and had earned the respect and goodwill of the community. Mr Alexander wished Mr and Mrs Parker a happy future at Te Kuiti, where they were going to take up their residence.
