Who is to Blame P
The most notable feature oi the Triangle drama “ Who is to Blame ? ” to be screened at Matamata, on Saturday, is the fine setting and likeable personality of Jack Eddo, a young Japanese, who plays the part first of a rickshaw boy and afterwards of servant to an American lawyer. The story is that of an erring husband, whose wife returning home unexpectedly finds him in compromising circumstances and refuses to be reconciled to him. The young Japanese contrives to disillusion his master as to the character of the woman who had caused the trouble, and having cleared the way he manages to bring the husband and wife together again, but in doing so has to sacrifice himself. It is a most appealing story, delightfully produced, and with a continual element of the unexpected. Jack Livingston, Maude Wayne, and Lillian West have the prominent parts and acquit themselves with credit. The fifth instalment of “The Fatal Ring,” and a Gaumont Graphic makes up a good programme.
