A LAND DEAL.

At the Supreme Court, Hamilton, last week Alexander McDonald (represented by Mr Hampson) sued Joseph Wake (Mr Mac Diarmid) for £250 damages for alleged broach of agreement and specific performance. A counter-clain was lodged for £2O, alleged amount of deposit. Both parties are farmers residing at Matamata. The case arose out of a land transaction, the defendant agreeing to purchase portion of plaintiff’s property, but subsequently withdrawing from tho deal, alleging that conditions were not as agreed upon. • The hearing of evidence was concluded, and the case adjourned for legal argument.
