MATAMATA A. & P. ASSOCIATION.
Executive Meeting. Mr J. W. Simpson presided at an executive meeting of the Matamata A. and P. Association on Tuesday night. The president’s action in accepting the tender of the “ Matamata Record ” for printing the schedule and catalogues was endorsed. It was decided to again engage tho services of a band for show day, tho Hamilton Municipal Band to be approac»ed. A ground committee was appointed as follows : The president and Messrs W. Egan, J. E. West, L. R. Hope, E. Bowler, I. H. McNair, J. J. Ryan and W. Harding. It was decided to include special classes for host fat bullock, any age ; and two needlework classes. The prizes were promised hy Mr W. C. Vincent, £2 2s and Mrs J. Mateer 10s. A report was given by the sec-, retary upon headway made in the appointment of judges. Ho stated over half the judges written to had consented to act. The secretary also reported that the schedules should be published within a week. STEWARDS. The following stewards were appointed:—Hacks land hunters, Mr W. Egan; harness horses, Mr S. Gunn ; draughts, Mr W. Harding; cattle, Mr J. Price; sheep, Mr N. Blennerhassett; pigs, Mr Shaw; dogs, Mr A. K. Weeks; vehicles, Mr 11. Rollett; press, Mr J. Pohlen ; home industries, Mr E. Bowler; cookery, Miss Fagan ; flowers, Miss L. Duxfield; needlework, Mrs Mogford; school competitions, Miss Blennerhassett; gates and boundaries, Mr C. D. Rollett.
