A rather good story is going the rounds. At one of Capelli's concerts in a neighboring town a vocalist sang the " Marseillaise " and the audience rose to their feet. One member gminblingly remarked to his wife : " He's singing alright, but what do they all want to stand up for ?" His spouse promptly retorted " shut-up, don't make a fool of yourself; that's one of Garibaldi's songs."
