STOCK SALES.

MOKRINSVILLE There was a very large yarding at the Fanners' Auctioneering Co's. sale on Friday. The entries could not be penned in the company's and use had to be made of Dalgety and Co's yards to pen many lines of stores. The yarding comprised 650 sheep and 1227' cattle. Beef of which there was a good entry sold well but was a trifle lower than at the last sale. There was an improved demand lor stoi'es, 2 year steers showing an advance but 2 year empty heifers were slightly oasier. There was a very keen demand for dairy cattle and prices showed a big advance. Buyers were not so particular about quality as the.y had been previously, and very lew beasts failed to find new owners. Prices: Pigs, good weaners 14s to 17s, slijjs 37s to £2 ss, porkers £2 16s to £3 6s, sheep, prime fat heavy wethers ±'2 Os 3d to £2 8s 3d for a line penned by Mr J. W. Taylor, others 36s 3d to 36s 9d, good fat ewes 31s 5d to 33s 6d, fat hoggets 26s to 295, shorn hoggets the first of the season, 20s, empty ewes 21s to 245, cattle, prime heavy fat steers £lB 5s to £2O for an entry from Mr W. Corrigan, smaller £l7 5s to £l7 17s (3d, heavy fat cows £l3 15s to £l4 17s 6d, lighter sorts £ll 4s to £l2 7s 6d, good fresh conditioned cows £9 13s to £los ss, store cows £7 5s to £8 4d, others low conditioned £3 19s to £6 Is, 2 year steers £8 17s 6d to £9 12s, others mixed colors, £7 6s to £8 ss, 2 to 2£ years steers, good color and condition £l2 5s to £l2 18s for a line from Mr 0. G. Stewart, Tahuna, others £lO 2s to £ll 4s, 2 year •inpty Holstein heifers £8 to £8 10s, 2 year empty heifers good colors £8 Is to £9 Is, smaller sorts £6 19s to £7 14s, 18 mos. to 2 year bulls 11 to 11£ gns, well grown yearling steers £6 15s to £7 2s for a line of Shorthorns from the Maukoro estate, others £5 12s to £6 3s, well grown yearling heifers £6 12s to £G 18s, smaller £4 lis to £5 Is, yearlings mixed sexes £4 2s to £4 16s, smaller £2. 2s to £2 12s, dairy cattle, Mr B. Martyn's herd of 50 cows made from £8 10s to £25, the average being £ls 18s, 16 cows for Mr M. Larney made from £ls 10s to £l9, 27 choice dairy heifers on account Mr 11. Windsor brought from 10 gns to £l9s, choice dairy cows made from £lB to £25, backward sorts £l2 10s to 13 gns, choice Shorthorn heifers £l7 5s to £l9, others £l2 10s to £l4.
