Six Candidates. The time for the nomination of candidates for seats on the Matamata board expired yesterday at noon, six gentlemen being norninated. for five ~slats.. Of. those standing' - three were members of the late,; board, Messrs Joseph Price, chairman, William Alexander Gordon, and James. Frederick Yosper. Their work during the. past : fourteen months is well known and should entitle them to re-election. The new candidates are Messrs G. G. Bell, whose legal training should stand to him if elected H. A. Kelso, a pbdfirilnerit business man and James Steen, a practical man with a sound'knowledge of the district. The election will be held in the town hall on Wednesday next. The members who did not seek re-election were Messrs E. C. Banks and J.'Pohlen. •••
