DRIED MILK MEETINGS.
At Morrinsville. No Definite Decision. Monday night's meeting in the Empire hall attracted the largest gathering of farmers ever seen in Morrinsville, the hall being packed. Mr W. McLachlan, president of the Farmers' Union, was in the chair. Messrs W. Goodfellow and Clark, for the W.C.D.C, and Parlane, for the N.Z.D.A. addressed the meeting. There were a very large number of questions asked the speakers. Finally it was resolved to set up a committee to discuss business with the representatives of the respective companies, or any other company. Motions that the meeting support the first company erecting a dried milk factory in Morrinsville on pure co-operative lines, and that the meeting favor the W.C.D.C. proposition were withdrawn in favor of the resolution. The following committee was appointed: Messrs Noble, Palmer (Tauhei), Stark, Ferguson (Motumaoho), Leeson, Bodmin (Hangawhera road), Gaddes, Gray (McGregor's road), Ross, Tompkins (Mangateparu), Jamieson, Wells (Kiwitahi), G. Howie, Swinbourn (Piako), Rushton, Darell (Tatuanui), Larney, Anderson (Kereone), Colbeck and Knight (Morrinsville).
