At Waitoa.

OVER 3000 COWS GUARANTEED. There was a very large attendance at the meeting convened by the Thames Valley Dairy association at Waitoa yesterday afternoon. Mr G. Buchanan presided. Reference was made at the meeting to the amalgamation of the Thames Valley and Te Aroha Dairy company, only the sanction of the shareholders being now required. The proposal to erect a dried milk factory was enthusiastically received, and guarantees of 3200 cows were received in the room. The factory is for skim milk powder and butter, as advocated by Mr Goodfellow at last night's meeting in Morrinsville. Mr Buchanan told a Star representative that he is sanguine of securing another 3000 cows to the number already signed on, and believes that the number can be increased by 5000.
