COMING SALES.
Mrd. W. Finnerty's Herd. An opportunity of securing especially selected dairy stock will be offered farmers cf the district on Thursday next when the whole of Mr J. W. Finnerty's live and deadstock will be offered on the farm at Matamata, by the Farmers' Auctioneering Company. Included in the list are thirty-five good dairy cows,., due in July and August, thirty real good 3 yr. Shorthorn heifers, twelve 3 yr. Holstein heifers, and twelve 2 yr. Jersey heifers, due in September. At the sales last fall, Mr Finnerty was prominent in outbidding the dairymen of the district for the best stock, and it is the cows so purchased which are to be offered. The returns from these cows have shown that it pays to purchase only the best. The Shorthorn heifers are said to be a very fine lot typically dairy - maids which will be a credit to any herd, having been carefully selected. There should be spirited competition for all lines. In conjunction with this sale the whole of Mr G. Fussey's contracting plant will be sold, the owner having purchased a farm out of the district.
