OBITUARY.
Mr N. Downey. The death occurred at Litchfield on Wednesday, of Mr N. Downey, of Waiomou, Okoroire, in his seventieth year. The cause of death was heart failure. It is surmised that the news that his son on active service had been wounded a second time caused great anxiety to the old gentleman, affecting a previous heart trouble. The remains were interred at the Matamata cemetery on Friday, among the mourners being a number of the Masonic fraternity.
