ALL SAINTS’ CHURCH.
Annual Meeting. The annual meeting of the parishioners of the All Saints’ Anglican church, Matamata, was held on Tuesday evening about thirty being present. The Rev. T. H. Partridge presided. A verbal report was given by the vicar, who said a new scheme of finance had been inaugurated at the beginning of the year, whereby Matamata was called upon to provide practically half of the finances of the Morrins-ville-cum-Matamata parish. The Anglicans of the district had done really well with the result that the year's work had been carried out leaving a credit balance of about £5. This, with the previous year’s balance of £24, made up the £29 cash in hand. Since the balance-sheet was drawn up £2B had been received in donations, collections etc, so that the church was in a good financial position. The secretary, Mr C. D. Rollett read the balance sheet which showed the receipts to be £239 18s 9d. He was congratulated on the excellence ot the balancesheet, ELECTION OF OFFICERS. The following officers were elected: —Vicar’s warden, Mr B. Browne; people’s warden, 0. D. Rollett; secretary and treasurer Mr C. D. Rollett; auditor, Mr O. Green; vestry, Messrs O. Garland, T. Hope, B. Blennerhassett, J. W. Simpson, E. Beeson, J. Cranswick, G. Vogt, and C. Green. It was decided that the All Saints’ Ladies Guild be asked to conduct monthly social evenings for adherents of the church. Votes of thanks were, on the Vicar’s motion, passed to all ehurchworleers for their labors during the past year.
