On Friday afternoon she complained of her throat, but the parents did not attach any great importance to the complaint, thinking it was quinsy. Mr Yardley went to a show meeting and on his return home finding the child no hetter called in Dr. Carolan, who said the child had a diphtheritic throat and painted it. After watching the child for a little he went away to ge.t some restorative. It was then known that there was little chance of saving the little one. Just after he left the child collapsed and expired. The funeral took place on Sunday. General sympathy is expressed with the bereaved parents in their sad loss.
