TECHNICAL SCHOOL MATTERS.

Classes Arranged. A meeting of the advisory committee of the Matamata Technical school was held last week, those present being Messrs J. Kalaugher (supervisor of technical education for the Auckland Education Board), G. H. Malcolm (local superintendent), I. McNair, J. W. Simpson, J. Pohlen, J. Draper and S. Gunn. CLASSES. It was decided to arrange for classes for dressmaking, cookery, English and arithmetic, bookkeeping and woodwork. Rev. T. H. C. Partridge, M.A., was appointed instructor in English and arithmetic. It was decided that a special class for cookery (twelve lessons) for adults be commenced in May at a fee of 7s 6d for the course. Fees for.paying students for other classes was reduced to 15s per annum, as against £3 charged last year.
