A circular from the Prime Minister's office regarding a proposed conference in Wellington to discuss matters affecting the Imperial Government's requisition of wool and hides was read. Green asked for the branch's advice in regard to securing a better means of transporting milk from distant parts to the local Glaxo factory. The railway freight was at present too expensive, yet it was evident that with cheaper carriage the railway transit was infinitely preferable to any other. In view of the date for the annual show being the day before that set apart for the next meeting it was resolved that the latter be ' held on Tuesday, March 26th.
