MATAMATA RED CROSS.
The Matamata Red Cross Society resumed work last week. A large amount of, work was brought in, showing that, although holiday time reigned, the ladies had not been idle. Mesdames Kelso and J. F. Vosper provided afternoon tea, which, as usual, was very much appreciated. The box packed at the close of the meeting contained the following articles :—l4 pyjama suits, 8 underflannels, 14 shirts, 66 handkerchiefs, 60 pillow slips, 27 eye bandages, 10 face cloths, 12 roller bandages, 6 pairs invalid slippers, 1 pair 'socks, 1" roll old linen, magazines.* f * ''* Included in above from Turanga-6-rrioana, 8 shirts, 2 pyjama suits, 6 pillow slips, 6 pairs invalid slippers, 4 roller bandages. The Matamata Red Cross society would like here to publicly thank ihe Turanga-o-moana ladies for the:consistent help they have given. Since the establishment Turanga-o-moana has supported Matamata loyally, and has always been ready to help in every way possible.
