WEDDING BELLS

Grey Shannon A pretty wedding was celebrated on December 20th at the residence of Mr. F. Shannon, of Tirau. The united couple were Mr. Alan Stuart Grey, of Te Kuiti, a returned soldier, and Miss Florence Henrietta (Norah) Shannon. The Rev. T. H. C. Partridge officiated, and a number of friends were present to witness the ceremony. The bride entered the room on the arm of her father and looked very charming in her graceful dress of white silk and her veil crowned with orange blossoms. She was attended by her sister Miss Olive Shannon. The bridegroom was supported by his brother. As the young couple left the room the Wedding March was played. In an adjoining room the happy couple and guests sat down to a sumptuous wedding breakfast after which they left by train on their honeymoon. The bride is the daughter of Mr. F. Shannon, engineer to the Matamata County Council.
