Panther Rapp
The fourth issue of Panther Rapp will be on sale next week. The Rapp was the first urban Polynesian newspaper to be printed in Auckland. The first issue came out during the Christmas of 1974-75. The paper is the mouthpiece of the Polynesian Panther Party which was formed by Maori and other Polynesian youth in 1970. The latest issue of Panther Rapp will include articles on homeless kids, Waikeria Borstal hangings, Panther sports programmes and the Court’s attitude to people speaking their own languages.
