Wednesday, 29th September, 18S6. (Before Frank Bird, Esq., Warden.) Applications. United A 1 pine Company.—Special claim of 40 acres. Objected to by Henry Cosgrove on behalf of the Lyell Creek Extended Low Level Tunnel. Mr Lynch appeared for the applicants. Application refused on the grounds oi not sufficient time having been allowed for the cancellation notification of the New South Wales ground to have been gazetted locally, and other applicants being willing to accept a lesser portion of the same ground. Frederick Fedderson.—Application for acres as gold mining lease, adjoining Low Level tunnel and Tyr Connell claims. Applicant proved pegging out the ground, aud the non existence of sufficient pegging and trenching on behalf of objector, Henry Cosgrove. James "Inglis gave evidence as to lodging applications. H. Shaw, who accompanied Fedderson on the occassion of his marking out the giound, corroborated the evidence given as to pegging. Martin Conradson also gave evidence as to pegs. Recommended to be granted. Allen Andrew M'Leod. Extended claim, Welshman's terrace ; granted.
The application of Louis Martin and ! John Carroll for amalgamation of claims | at New Creek was withdrawn. Patrick Carroll. Double area, New Creek ; granted. Louis Martin. —Tail race, New Creek ; granted. Patrick Carroll. —Speciil site, New Creek; adjourned to next Court day. Patrick Carroll. Two dams, New Cr?ek; granted. Peter Kelly, John Ryan, James Joice, Michael Ryan. —Double area, north bank Buller river ; granted. The same applicants were granted right to construct wing dam.
