ANNUAL MEETING. > [Pur Press Association.] AUCKLAND, Februqry 27. The delegates to the annual meeting of the' New Zealand district of the Hibernian Australasian . Catholio Benefit Society discussed the unity scheme which has been engaging the serious attention of the New Zealand branches. | A good deal of difference of opinion was expressed. ~ i ■> The district president asked that the scheme should not be put to the vote. He promised by next district meeting to provide machinery for the full working of the scheme. 'a A resolution was carried, asking the ! distriot executive, to take into consideration the best' means to promote ‘ unity and the propagation of the So-' ciety, and to take counsel with various centres of the dominion to submit proposals to the triennial meeting at, Westport in 1916. The officers elected were-President, Mr James Smith; secretary, Mr 'W. Kane; treasurer, Mr M. J. Sheahan; r auditors, Messrs J. Stead and C. Mullholland.
