STJMJEY. [From the' Herald,'. December 17.] Messrs. Mort and Co. held to-day their weekl, produce sale. The quantity of wool catalogued wa 419 bales, all of which, with the exception of 3 bales, were sold. The news from England has adde increased firmness to the wool market, and buyer are more confident thau they have been for som time past. Sheepskins were not quite so much in request to day, and prices did not rule so high as last week About 2315 were sold at from 7d. to 9d.
Tallow.—-The quantity offered to-day was« taken by the town trade, but the supply being w°ri plentiful prices were.not quite so high. * About "■ casks -were sold at the following prices >—Beef, 45s 6d per cwt; station 47s per cwtj mutton, 51s 3dp« c\yt; slush, 28s'9d per cwt. ■-■• Hides were not so firm to-day, and the prieei obtained show a decline of Is to Is 6d each. o^el 600 hides were sold, at from 6s 6d to 13s 6d'eaeh Hair brought s^d per Ib". Horns 20s to 30s pei hundred. Shank bones, £7 per ton. Wheat and rLOOR.—The mills quote flour at i! and £20 per ton, and wheat at 7s to 7s 9d per bushel Bran, 2s per bushel.
